Rita M. Hofstedt, 80, passed away Friday, September 24 ^th , at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was born January 10, 1941, in Superior. Rita is survived by her daughter, Christy; son, Tony; two grandsons, John and Jeremy Lefaive; one brother, Dick (Carol) Verkeyn; two great grandchildren, Lyra and Lucas Lefaive; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Les; her mother, Dolores Verkeyn and father, Jules Verkeyn; sister, Gloria Hofstedt; and her brother, David Verkeyn.
