Robert P. Beck III, 79, of Superior, died Wednesday January 25, 2023.

Robert was born in Cleveland, OH on February 2, 1943, the son of Bernice and Robert Beck, Jr. He married Lynette Zoltak on Dec. 27, 1963, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage.

He had worked for the Railroad and then for Peavey Elevators for many years. Robert enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and shooting. He also enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Browns.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert IV; grandson, David Beck; and sister, Nancy Merkle.

He is survived by his wife, Lynette; children, Deborah (Jack) Swonger, Jr. of Solon Springs and David (Carrie Fox) Beck of Superior; grandchildren, Daniel (Stephanie) Peterson, Jacklyn (Ryan) Holer, Elizabeth (Kodey) Holland, Leah (Haley) Bikman, Ashley Beck and Robert T. Beck; and many great-grandchildren and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3 ^rd from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. with Jack Swonger as officiant. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs at a later date.
