Robert Louis Carlson, 71, of Superior, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
He was born August 20, 1940 in Superior, son of Harry and Mable (Blaisdell) Carlson.
Bob's work history included U.S. Steel, City of Superior, Superior Community Action and various other jobs.
He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, raising chickens and turkeys, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Julie; brother, Bonar; and sister, Connie.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Andrew) Czarnecki, Cudahy, WI; sons, Robert (Terri) Carlson, Daniel (Kelly) Carlson, and Bonar Carlson, all of Superior; grandchildren, Ashley, Shawnde, Brittney, and Kody Carlson, Isabelle Czarnecki, and Audrey Samuelson; great-grandson, Martin Osberg; sister, Emily; aunt, Gert; uncle, Will; mother of his children, Fran Stennard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Superior Town Hall, 4917 State Hwy 35, Superior.
A private committal service will be held at the Summit Cemetery, Summit Township, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made in Robert's name.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
