Robert D. Falstad, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, died Sunday, Oct 27, 2019 at Wexford Place Assisted Living in Kansas City.

Bob was born in Superior, WI on Aug 24, 1931 the son of Ralph and Patricia Falstad. He served his country as a Frogman in the U.S. Navy.  He married Katherine Young on April 2, 1955.

After graduating with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bob was an engineer at Union Carbide for 45 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served as Past Master. Following retirement, he did volunteer work for the tax program, Meals on Wheels and Mr. Fix It Program in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas (Caroline) Falstad.

Robert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Katherine; daughters, Kristin (Charley) Wooldridge of Sterling, VA and Linda (Michael) Mather of Kansas City; grandchildren, Melanie (Daniel) Toler and Rob Wooldridge; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Ethan Toler; and a brother, Bill (Peggy) Falstad of Kansas City.

Visitation will be held at 11:00am on Saturday November 2 ^nd at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St, followed by a graveside service at 12:30pm at Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
