Robert Lee Mattson's Obituary
Robert Lee Mattson, 66, of Superior, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, after a very long illness.
He was born December 21, 1946 in Superior, son of Harold and Edith (Williams) Mattson.
Robert was a graduate of Superior Central High School and U.W.S., with a teaching degree.
Robert lived in Utah for a short time, before returning to Superior to work as a desk clerk at the Manning Motel and a short order cook at a few local restaurants.
He was an avid reader and loved being with family and friends.
Robert was a member of the Church of Christ, Duluth.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his cousins, Ruth Olson and Thomas Williams; aunt, Doris Mattson; and many other cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Monday, July 22, 2013, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Chaplain Gary Meller officiating.
Inurnment will be in the family lot at Poplar Cemetery, Poplar.
