Robert "Bob"
S. Renquist
March 8, 1933 – January 28, 2020
Robert S. "Bob" Renquist, 86, of Superior passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in Duluth, MN.
He was born in Superior on March 8, 1933 in Superior to Stanley and Oline Renquist.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War.
Bob graduated from East High School in 1950. He was employed by ConAgra Foods for 41 years, retiring as Chief Electrical Engineer.
He enjoyed many hobbies, including music and the outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed his annual hunting excursions with family and friends. While he was a very skilled hunter, as a fisherman, he was something of a disappointment. Bob found humor in everything and will be fondly remembered for his humility, kindness, creativity and unparalleled integrity.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Renquist of Superior; son, Thomas (Darlene) Renquist of Superior; sisters, Constance "Connie" Richards of Winslow, AZ and Mavis Kosobuski of Superior; grandchildren Aaron Williams of Superior, and James Renquist of Maple Grove, MN; great-grandchildren Tahlia, Keaton and Elle.
He is preceded in death by his parents and by his children Robert, Jill and Andrew.
A graveside service will be held on Friday June 26th, at 11:00 at St. Francis Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
