Robert L. Wick, 78, of Solon Springs, died Monday, November 20, 2017 at his Residence.

Robert was born January, 11, 1939, in Duluth, MN, the son of Carl and Helen Wick.

He graduated from Denfeld High School with the class of 1957 and then studied Engineering in Cleveland, OH.

He married Nancy Williamson on March 2, 1963 and they celebrated 54 years of marriage.

He worked on Iron Ore boats throughout his life. He retired in 2005 as Chief Marine Engineer from Hannah Mining Company.

His hobbies included building and flying radio control airplanes. He was a member of the Duluth/Superior RC Club. He also enjoyed fishing at his lake cabin and spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronny Wick.

Robert is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Lisa (Ed Cismoski) of Superior; son, Michael (Sandy) Wick of Tomahawk, WI; grandchildren, Josh and Jacqueline; brothers, Gary and Denny; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday Nov. 25, from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street.
