Roberta D. Lien, 80, lifelong Superior area resident, died January 13, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
Roberta was born on April 9, 1933 the daughter of George and Josephine Wiseman.
She was a very active member of Country Peace Church, Teamsters Local #346, and an active community volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband (married over 53 years), Jack on Nov. 9, 2004; sister, Mary Jo Almstedt; and brothers, Eugene, Russell, George and William Wiseman.
Roberta is survived by her children, Dennis (Andrea) Lien of Oakland Township, Gayle (Al) Mason of Potosi, Wis., Roberta (Bob) Shaffer of Webster, Wis., Sharon (Lance) Reyzer of Roberts, Wis., and Lori (Jon) Pernsteiner of Cambridge, Wis.; 13 grandchildren, Heather, Eric, Garth, Erin, Jennifer, Stephanie, Tina, Sarah, David, Adam, Ashley, Julianne and Kristine; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Cheryl) Wiseman and Charles (Grace) Wiseman; sisters-in-law, Shirley Martin, Joanne Markon, Mary Wiseman and Darlene Kloskin; and a brother-in-law, Bernard Almstedt.
Visitation will be on Fri. Jan. 17, from 5-7p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Visitation will continue on Sat. Jan. 18 from 10a.m. until the 11a.m. memorial service at Country Peace Presbyterian Church, 4694 S., County Rd. A, Superior. Rev. Richard Blood will officiate. Inturnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in the Spring.
If desired memorials may be made in Roberta's name to the Country Peace Church or to the St. Luke's Hospice Volunteers.
