Roger William Olson, age 74, of Superior, passed away Wednesday August 5, 2026, at Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth.

Roger was born March 20, 1952, in Superior to Mathias “Art” Olson and Elsie (Alholm) Olson.

He had worked as a bartender at numerous establishments in the Twin Ports including The QT, Strikers and Gilbey’s. Roger enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Roger married Belinda Brown on April 14, 1986, in Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Jerry and Jimmy Hill, Walter and Gary Olson, sisters in law Brenda Summerfield and Bonny Lundy, brother in law Don Gustafson, and his nephews Dennis Gustafson and Donald Liska.

Roger is lovingly survived by his wife Belinda; son Justin Olson of Kaukauna, WI; daughter Amanda (Thorton) Carlson of Kaukauna, WI; Grandchildren Jaina Olson, Gabriel and Judah Carlson; his brother Kenneth (Gail) Olson; sisters Susie Gustafson, Sandy (Duane) Makie, Shelly Liska and Sharon (Walt) Mitchell; sisters in law Terrie Olson, Diane Sutherland, and Flossy; brothers in law Al (Wanda) Brown, Dale Summerfield, and Roger Lundy; Also by nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday August 11, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th Street. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service. A luncheon will be from 1-3 pm at VIP, 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior.
