Rolf G. Grimsrud, 90, of Superior, died Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
He was born June 3, 1933, in Superior, son of Ralph and Julia (Reiten) Grimsrud.
On April 6, 1955, in Merrill, Wisconsin, Rolf G. Grimsrud and Eunice J. Matson were united in marriage.
In 1954 Rolf started selling cars and continued until his retirement in 2012 as General Manager of Larson Chevrolet, Superior.
Eunice and Rolf enjoyed traveling and spending time at their summer home in Lake Nebagamon. Some of their travels included Hawaii, Australia, the Far East, England, Germany, and numerous other places.
For over 40 years, every October, Rolf and some of his friends would travel to South Dakota for pheasant hunting. Their hunting trips started in 1962, and every year it was to the same farm.
Some of his other interests were the Tri State Racing Association, Ducks Unlimited, snowmobiling, boating, and fishing on Lake Nebagamon and the Eagle River chain of lakes.
Rolf was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Superior.
Preceding him in death was his wife of over 67 years, Eunice "Bunny" Grimsrud.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra Grimsrud, Superior, and Lisa (Bob) Olberg, Minneapolis, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Donna Berg, Whitewater, Wisconsin, and Mia Matson, Poway, California; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date with the burial in Riverside Cemetery, Superior.
