Ronald T. "Slim" Carlson, age 83, died Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in his residence.

Slim was born on December 6, 1942, to Dorothy and Ludwig Carlson in Superior, WI.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 80 in Superior. Slim had a passion for collecting coins and vinyl records.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Ludwig Carlson, Jr., Caroline Kuhlman, Glen Carlson and Lyman Carlson.

Slim is survived by his daughter, Caroline Wallin of Duluth; grandchildren, Misty Hoyt of Solon Springs, Eric Hoyt of Superior and Henry Hoyt of Hawthorne; step-granddaughters, Natalya Andrea (Hoyt) Mills and Brianna Meghan Hoyt; his three great grandchildren, Dustin Malec, Lily Malec Hoyt and Kaelin McDunnin Hoyt; also by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
