Ronald J. Weiss, 68, of Superior, died Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Essentia Health-Miller Dwan, Duluth.

He was born December 19, 1952 in Superior, son of Harold and Delia (Burger) Weiss.

Ron's work history included Berger Hardware, DECC, and PTI.

He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and news and weather broadcasts, working on cars and helping family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Harold and Delia Weiss.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Pamela Thoorsell; sons, James and Justin Patzer, both of Superior; daughter, Amanda (Michael) Patzer Strauman, Superior; grandchildren, Shaylynn Patzer and Noah Strauman; brothers, Edward (Brenda Ward) Weiss, Fosston, MN, Jerald Weiss, Thomas (Kathy Burger) Weiss, and Arnold Weiss, all of Foxboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his canine friend, Lady.

Visitation will be from noon until the 1 p.m. service, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19 ^th Street, Superior, with David Anderson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Thoorsell, A.J. Flatten, Fred Flatten, Jordan Weiss, Charlie Burger and Charlie Christianson.

Burial will be in Summit Cemetery, Foxboro, WI.
