Rosalee J. Foote, 75, of Superior, after years of battling dementia, died of cancer Friday, February 26, 2016, at Superior Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Superior,
She was born September 28, 1940, in Superior, daughter of Roy and Ruth (Stalvig) Peterson.
Rosalee worked several years in retail sales for K-Mart. She was affectionately known as "The Flower Lady."
Some of her interests included puzzles, bowling, flower gardening, bingo, trips to the casino, fishing, feeding and watching her birds, watching football and baseball; and her time with the VFW Auxiliary and Cooties.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Clyde M. Foote in 1996; special friend, Bob Steen; sister-in-law, Shirley Peterson; and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Carey Foote, Chicago, Corrine Foote, Superior, and Carole "Kay" (Mark Foley) Smith, Superior; grandchildren, Lindsey, Clint (Heather), Tamika, Ashley, Corey and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Damien, Brooklynne and Kieran; and sisters, Ruth (Jack) Gallagher, Sandy (Richard) Lally and Robin Cather.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend James Walsh officiating.
The committal prayers will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, at a later date.
