Rosalie A. Shelafoe, 67, a lifelong resident of Superior, Wis. died Mon., July 11, 2011 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's in Duluth, Minn.

She was born in Superior on Dec. 7, 1943, the daughter of Clarence and Eva Beckwell.

Rosalie loved all animals, especially dogs and cats. She enjoyed listening to music, socializing with friends and family and going for rides with Dan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Tonya.

Rosalie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Daniel; children, Angela of Ashland, Wis., Clarence Shelafoe of Wausau, Wis., and Georgia (Richard) Kujava of Superior; grandchildren, Jody (Cory) Murphy, James, Bridget, Devin and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Savannah; three brothers, Jim, Carl and Butch Beckwell; a sister, Georgia Henry; and many nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be held on Tues., July 19th at 1:00 p.m. in the Downs Funeral Home Chapel, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Major Rosemary Matson of the Salvation Army will officiate.
