Rose H. Vokovich, 97, of Superior, died Friday, July 8, 2016, at Superior Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born March 3, 1919, in Duluth, daughter of Matt and Katie Vrdoljak.
Rose was a member of St. William's Catholic Church, Crafters and Red Hat Society.
Some of her interests included cooking, baking – especially bread baking, and Sunday afternoon pizza. Her greatest love was spending time with family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, George in 1998; sisters, Helen, Dorothy and Frances; and brothers, John, Matt and Anthony.
Survivors include her daughters, Rosalie (Chedo) Filipovich, Superior, Diane (Robert) Zimmerman, Superior, and Georgann (Joe) Churchya, Duluth; grandchildren, Nada (Michael Steiner) Filipovich, St. Paul, MN, Robert D. (Terri) Zimmerman, Superior, Angela McCoy, Glenrock, Wyoming, Tanya (Richard) Troska, Brooklyn Park, MN, and Kimberly Bladecki, Duluth; 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, and will resume at 10 until the 11 a.m. Wednesday, Mass of Christian Burial, at St. William's Catholic Church, Superior. Reverend Father Andrew Ricci will be the celebrant.
Pallbearers will be Kimberly Bladecki, Nada Filipovich, Robert D. Zimmerman, Tanya Troska, William Anderson and Chedo Filipovich.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
