Rosemary J. Vaski, 74, lifelong resident of Superior, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her Residence.
Rosemary was born on July 12, 1941 the daughter of William and Mary Kelly.
She graduated from Superior East High School with the class of 1959. She married John H. Vaski on September 3, 1966.
Rosemary was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. She had volunteered at Cathedral School, St. Mary's Hospital in Superior and the Richard I. Bong Veteran's Historical Center. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Christmas Carols and Ricky Nelson. She enjoyed going camping and loved traveling to Hawaii. She was also an avid Green Bay Packer Fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of 50 years, John; children, Mary (Todd) Carlson and Michael E. Vaski both of Superior; sister, Gretchen (David) Olson of Superior and sister-in-law, Nora (George) Solomon of Kenosha, WI.
"Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that's how I would remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all. I love my family. God bless you all."
Visitation will begin on Tuesday June 28 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Xavier Church. Rev. Fr. James Tobolski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard I. Bong Veteran's Historical Center.
Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
