Roy T. Oaks' Obituary
Roy T. Oaks, 59 of Superior, died peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Essentia St. Mary's Hospice in Duluth.
Roy was born in Superior on Nov. 12, 1953 the son of Norbert and Joy Oaks.
He was employed by O'Reilly Auto Parts for many years. He was active in the RC plane club. He enjoyed throwing horseshoes, shooting pool, hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents Otto and Ardene Baumgartner.
Roy is survived by his significant other, Linda Rivord of Superior; sister, Maria (Bobby) Krynicki of Duluth; brother, Terry (Tammy) Oaks of Superior; nieces Shannon (Ryan) Wohlman and Christine Rogers; great-niece Elsie Joy Wohlman; and many friends.
His visitation will be held on Wednesday July, 3 from 4pm until the 5pm memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Carolyn Mowchan will officiate.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Essentia-St. Mary's hospice for their wonderful care.
