Ruby J. Johnson, 90, previously of South Range, died Monday, February 11, 2019, at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.

She was born in Superior on January 27, 1929, the daughter of John and Johanna (Anderson) Johnson.

Ruby married Wallace Johnson on August 6, 1947.

She enjoyed singing, cooking, baking, and reading.  She taught Good News Club and enjoyed reading her Bible and daily devotions.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace in 2009; parents, John and Johanna Johnson; brothers, Harvey and Chester Johnson; and son-in-law, Rusty Hoivik.

She is survived by her son, Dean (Donna) Johnson of Superior; daughters, Georgianna (Tom) Hoem of Sheboygan, WI, JoAnn Zimmerman of Superior, Joyce (Mike) Bickford of South Range, Chrystal (John) Deibel of The Villages, FL, and Sue Haver '#5' of Superior; 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family.

Pallbearers will be Brett Johnson, Tony Hoem, Carson Milligan, Nick Bickford, Chad Hoivik, and Mike Bickford.

Her visitation will be on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Bayside Baptist Church from 10:00 until the 11:00 funeral service, with Mark Pavola officiating.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hawthorne, following the luncheon at the church.
