Obituary

Ruth M. Albright, 85, of Superior, Wis., died Sat., Mar. 26, 2011 in Villa-Marina Health & Rehab. Center.

She was born Apr. 22, 1925 in McGregor, Minn. to Laura (Gorsich) and George S. Bailey. She attended the McGregor school system and graduated in 1942 from high school. After graduation she moved to Superior and resided with her sister, Violet and her family. She was employed by various restaurants until her marriage on Apr. 29, 1950 to Donald R. Albright. Donald thanks the Lord for all of the wonderful years that he and Ruth shared with each other.

Ruth was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Ruth enjoyed watching and feeding birds, especially the Cardinals. Her greatest love was for her family, especially the children and this includes all children that she knew.

She is survived by her husband of over sixty years, Donald; they were blessed with four loving children and their families, Clyde G. Albright who died on Oct. 13, 1970, Dawn (Charles) Anderson, Robert Albright, and John (Julie) Albright; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; our extended family, John, Roz, Colton and Kali Krivenchuk; and so many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Albright on Dec. 28, 2004; two sisters, Violet and Peggy; and a brother, Vern.

Active pallbearers will be Bruce Petersen, Scott Stralka, Christopher Roske, Donnie Albright and Colton and John Krivenchuk. Honorary pallbearers are Rob Albright, Donald Bergman and James Corbett.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until her 11:00 a.m. funeral service Thurs., Mar. 31st at Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden & 19th St. with Rev. Gary Garnatz, pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church officiating. The committal prayers will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

If desired, memorials in Ruth's name may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church or Greenwood Cemetery.
