Samantha Jo, 'Sami Jo' Roske, 26, of Plymouth, MN, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 4, 2022, in Plymouth from natural causes of an undiagnosed heart condition.
Sami was born on Jan. 9, 1996, in Duluth, MN the daughter of Scott and Traci (Wangerin) Roske.
She graduated from Superior High School with the class of 2014 where she was a member of the Spartan Dance Team as well as a manager for the Spartan Football Team
She was a cosmetologist by trade who had worked for La Peinado Salon & Day Spa in Superior and most recently at Sunbear Salon & Medical Spa in White Bear Lake. She was also employed part time while attending school at Rock Elm Tavern in Plymouth and Paradise Charter Cruises in Excelsior. Sami was top of her class at Herzing University, studying to become a dental hygienist, set to graduate later this month.
She was preceded in death by her father, Scott; maternal grandparents, Donna (Don) Dahlberg and Dave Wangerin; and paternal grandparents, Robert Roske Sr., and Mike Lukkarila.
Sami is survived by her mother, Traci (Dennis Mattson) Roske of South Range; sister, Ashley (Joel) Scharte of Hugo, MN; brother, Shawn (Amber Holt) Roske of Foxboro; stepsiblings, Christina (Mike Mikrot) Mattson of South Range, Jared Mattson of Cloquet, and Jace Mattson of Wrenshall; paternal grandmother, Maureen 'Faye' Stark of Superior; nieces and nephews, Cameron, Dax, Haley, Traedyn, Grace, Abigail, and Amelia; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Sept. 10 th from 10:00 a.m. until the Noon Celebration of Life at United Presbyterian Church, 229 N 28 th St. Superior, with Gary Banker as officiant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
As a special request, we ask that everyone wear bright cheerful colors in place of the traditional black attire to reflect Sami's vibrant personality.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her family, which will be used to honor Sami Jo.
