Scott James Halladay, 51 of Maple, WI, died on Thursday, May 19, 2022, in Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born on July 24, 1970, in Lubbock, TX to James and Barbara (Roe) Halladay.
Scott was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #346 and was employed as a truck driver for J.R. Jenson Construction Company for 16 years until his health failed him. He has been a farmer his entire life and had a great passion for putting up hay each year for his livestock. Scott loved to drive tractors on his farm. He lived to work on his farm and helping with his kids' farms. Scott was always willing to go on a ride in his side by side at the drop of a hat. He will be remembered for his love of his family and the animals he took care of.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughters, Heidi (Tommy) Soar, Alyssa (Shane) Moran and Mallory Swanson; his son, Cory Swanson; his sisters, Holly (Troy) Thompson, Cindy (Randy) Rosburg and Wendy Urie; his nieces, Amanda (Ben) Arnes and Ashley (Eric) Voge; his nephew, Kevin Raivala and numerous other family and friends which so dearly loved him.
Pallbearers will be Paul Abrahamzon, Charlie Abrahamzon, Randy Peterson, Jim Soyring, Cody Tepoel and Jesse Tepoel.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in Downs Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in Downs Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 N 19 th Street, Superior, WI.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
