Selma J. 'Sally' Sirek, 98, of Superior, died Monday August 22, 2016 at Superior Rehab and Nursing Center.

Sally was born in Reynolds, ND on Dec. 6, 1917 the daughter of Dan and Nettie Gronestad.

She had worked at Sears in Grand Forks ND for 18 years until her retirement. While in Grand Forks she was very active in Immanuel Lutheran Church. Moving back to Superior was important to her and she did in 1987.

Sally and her husband Paul enjoyed traveling and having cookouts for the family. Sally loved music and played piano and accordion. She loved the time spent with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul; the father of her children, Erwin Broderson; sons, Marty and Jerome; granddaughter, Lori, her great-granddaughter, Brandi; and grandson, Rodney II.

Selma is survived by her children, Stewart Broderson of Reynolds, ND, Jeannette Reeling of Glendale, AZ, Jerry (Lana) Broderson of Superior and Rodney (Sina) Broderson of Fargo, ND; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 26 at Noon at Christ Lutheran Church. Rev. David Schoessow will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sally's name to Christ Lutheran Church.
