Obituary

Sharon C. Miller, 54, of Superior, died Monday, December 25, 2023, at Essentia Health – St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

Sharon was born in Duluth on May 5, 1969, the daughter of Sharon Botten and Barry Fischler.

Sharon was always fascinated by broadcasting and dreamed of being a radio DJ as a little girl. And she later made that dream come true, becoming a radio broadcaster and producer for the Bulldog Hockey radio broadcast. Sharon was deeply interested with meteorology and weather and was a certified storm watcher for the National Weather Service. Sharon always had a love for animals, which included horses, dogs, cats, and just about anything else with fur or feathers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the works of Anne McCaffery and Mercedes Lackey, and liked to indulge in role playing games and activities where she could let her imagination soar. Despite her long battles with her health, Sharon's spirit remained bright and was always caring for others and especially cherished her family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Barry; aunt, Darlene Botten; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her life partner, M. Carl Arnold of Superior; mother, Sharon E. Miller; uncles, Dale R. Botten of Superior, and Lyle E. Botten, Jr. of Jupiter, FL; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
