Sharon Le (Vig) Parmar, 65, of Superior, Wis. and formerly of Minong and Rice Lake, Wis., died Sat., Dec. 19, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospice in Duluth, Minn.

Sharon was born in Madison, Wis., on Oct. 14, 1944, the daughter of Kathleen J. (La Fonda) and LeRoy V. Vig.

She was a certified nursing assistant working in home health care. She enjoyed doing puzzles, traveling and going for rides in the country. Most important to Sharon was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Travis Mickelson; brothers and sisters, Edward and Leslie Vig and Alberta "Butch" Lockwood; and nephews, Michael and Roger Tyson.

She is survived by her children, Amber Markiewicz, George (Betty) Mullikin and Lisa (Terry) Berg all of Superior; grandchildren, Nicole, Melissa, Stephen, Adam, Kenith, Jesse, Breanna, Alicia, Jennifer, Heather, Andrea, Matthew, Danielle, Marcus, Michael, Shawn, Mikel, Preston, Heather, Venissa, Jason, and Nathan; her beloved ex-husband and lifelong friend, Daljit Parmar of Kent, Wash.; brothers and sisters, Korky, Monica, Charles, Tony, Karen, Kathy, Randy and Perri; her extended family, Joseph Markiewicz, Darlene Oppel and Tonia Tye; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and close friends; and her furry, four-legged love, Tika.

Her memorial service will be held on Mon., Jan. 4, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
