Sharyn R. Hansen, 69, of Superior, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at her residence peacefully surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with illness.

Sharyn was born October 16, 1946, in Duluth, MN the daughter of Russell and Cecelia Cragin. Where she grew up in Oliver, WI until she met and married the love of her life Albin 'Albi' L. Hansen on February 21, 1970.

Sharyn was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church. She loved her flower gardens and was an excellent baker and cook. She enjoyed throwing parties and was the Queen of Grilling. No one could hold a candle to her cooking and it will be missed by everyone. She enjoyed hand embroidering gifts for others and playing cards. She will be fiercely routing for the Green Bay Packers from above now. She loved to go camping and fishing while spending time with her family and friends. Sharyn had a love for all animals and over the years had many special pets.

Spending time with her family was most important to her. She had a great sense of humor and always a positive attitude. She was very giving and was always there to lend a helping hand. She would give to everyone else before herself. If you left her home hungry it was because you didn't listen and eat the food she always pushed on you.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents Russell and Cecelia and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Harold and Edith Hansen; a daughter, Traci Ann Hansen on Jan. 18, 1974; a son, Gregory Albin Hansen on Nov. 14, 1975; a sister, Linda Lajoie and brother-in-law Larry Lajoie.

Sharyn is survived by her husband of 45 years, Albin; children, Todd Hansen of Superior, Jamie 'Jammer' (Deb) Hansen of Superior, Raquel (Andy) Stockey of Baldwin, WI; grandchildren, Matt, Chelsi, Alivia and Avah; three brothers and 8 sisters; and "her favorite little kid" Nicole L. Koenen of South Range.

A celebration of her life will begin with a visitation on Sat. Jan. 2nd from Noon until the 2:00 pm memorial service at Country Peace Presbyterian Church. Rev H. Duane Aslyn will officiate.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave, is assisting the family with arrangements.
