Shelley Marie (Cragin) Erickson, 63, of Pembine, WI, died unexpectedly Monday, January 14, 2019 in her residence.
Shelley was born on December 8, 1955 in Duluth, MN and raised in Oliver Wisconsin along with her 9 sisters and 3 brothers, she was #8 in pecking order. She is a 1974 Graduate of Superior Senior High School, and moved to Green Bay, WI shortly after. Shelley had many jobs helping and taking care of others throughout her life. She recently retired from Onieda Casino after working there for many years.
She enjoyed playing Keno Bingo at the Casino and taking Bull to McDonald's for his favorite cheeseburgers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Cecelia Cragin; sisters, Sharyn Hansen and Linda Lajoie; brothers-in-law, Larry Lajoie and Daniel Rude; nephews, Gregory Hansen, Robert Dalton, and Aaron Callen; and niece, Traci Hansen.
Shelley is survived by her black lab, Bull; sons, Matt (Jennifer) Erickson of Cheyenne, WY, and Luke (Tracey) Erickson of Tomah, WI; daughter, Marcy (Tom) Rentmeester of Denmark, WI; grandchildren, Ashlee Erickson, Hannah Turner, Kaylyn Erickson, William 'Will' Rentmeester, and Josephine 'Josie' Rentmeester; the father of her children, Gary Erickson of Pulaski, WI; 8 sisters, 3 brothers, and several nieces & nephews.
Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 19, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 th Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the Oliver Town Hall.
Shelley's life on earth was taken from all of us too soon as a result of Domestic Violence . We were not able to help her but wish to prevent other families from this.
