Sherman Seamans, 70, passed away in Surprise, Arizona on June 13, 2016 after a long illness.
He was born in Chicago, IL on July 2, 1945, son of Bernard and Rebeccah (Weinstein) Seamans. He attended grade school in Chicago and high school in Franklin Park, IL. Sherman helped his father run Franklin Park Pharmacy until the death of his father and then he took over.
Sherman moved to Superior, WI in 1968, when he married Barbara Grossman. He worked for Lurye Furniture for several years. He went back to school to get his degree in Marketing.
Sherman will be remembered for his kindness to people, love for animal balloons, volunteering at the Superior Boys & Girls Club, Superior Band Camp, playing card games at the roller rink.
He was predeceased by his mother and father.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Grossman) Seamans, Sun City, AZ; sons, Brad Seamans, Houston, TX, and Bruce Seamans, Duluth, MN.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. Rabbi David Steinberg will officiate.
Interment will be in the Superior Hebrew Cemetery, Superior.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
