Shirley Webb's Obituary
Shirley Webb, 86, formerly of Poplar, died Monday, June 2, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Superior.
Shirley was born April 5, 1928 in Poplar the daughter of Hilma J. (Wiberg) Jones and George E. Jones.
She attended the Superior State College and went on to teach English at the Middle School in Minot, North Dakota.
Shirley loved animals. She was a strong advocate for all animals, especially dogs. She loved the Great Lakes area and the family farm. She was very close to her brothers and sisters, and always enjoyed the company of others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry W. Webb, Jr.; and her brothers and sisters.
Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Morgan and Greg Ruby both of Mechanicsville, Virginia; two grandchildren, Spencer and Kirsta Ruby; and two sisters, Hildegarde Jones of Poplar and Kathryn Willard of Buchanan, Mich.
A private family graveside service will be held at Poplar Cemetery.
Downs Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
