Sonia Lee Savage, 83, of Lake Elmo, died Wednesday June 17, 2026, at Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul.

She was born in Mauston, WI on February 14, 1943, the daughter of Adolph and Virginia Hansen.

Sonia married Thomas Savage on October 31, 1959, and they celebrated 62 years of marriage until his death in 2021. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and anything to do with dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom; sons, Thomas Peter Savage, Jr. and Adolph Tyler Savage; son-in-law, Kevin Savage-Davis; sisters Victeleen and Eleanore; and brother, Nip.

Sonia is survived by her daughter Desiree Savage-Davis and brother, Dallas (Janet) Hansen.

A graveside service will be held on Friday June 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Iron River with Fr. Vijay Kumar Madani officiating. A luncheon will follow at The Other Place.
