Stanley Winek's Obituary
Stanley Winek, 100, of Superior, died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at St. Francis Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Stanley was born in Superior on April 17, 1914 the son of Joseph and Josephine Wnek
He retired from the BNSF Railroad after 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Gladys on Feb. 1, 2013; his parents; a grandson, Randall Dahlen; and brothers, Bernard, Edward, George, Louis and Alex.
Stanley is survived by two daughters, Nancy Zembo of Foxboro and Barbara (Albin) Dahlen of Duluth; two sons, Robert (Mary Kay) Winek of South Range and Richard Winek of Superior; brothers, James (Betty) Winek of CA and Richard Wnek of Superior; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral service was held at Downs Funeral Home.
The family wants to thank the dedicated nursing staff at St. Francis in the Park for the kind, loving care they gave to our Father for the last two years.
