Obituary

Stanley L. Wolf, 77, of Superior and formerly of Wrenshall, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Stan was born in Carlton, MN on May 21, 1944, the son of Lyle and Janice (Eng) Wolf.

He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. He had worked as a delivery driver for UPS for 30 years.

Stan was a founding member of the Black River Bandits and a lifetime member of the Cowboy Fast Draw Association. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union and the NRA. He enjoyed making knives, woodworking and watching the Minnesota Vikings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Don Jarvi.

Stan is survived by his siblings, Les Wolf of Wrenshall, MN, Janet Jarvi of Carlton, MN, Alan (Debra) Wolf of Carlton, MN, Tom (Kathy) Wolf of Eveleth, MN, and Randall (Kathy) Wolf of Wrenshall, MN; godson, Alex Hickok of Superior; and best friend, Colleen (John Wicklund) Tuura; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Stan's Life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 th St., Superior.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Veterans Memorial Park with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
