Susan "Sue" K. McKay, 69, of Superior, died surrounded by loving family and friends, Friday, July 28, 2017, with hospice care at Superior Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Superior.

She was born December 4, 1947, in Superior, daughter of Earl and Esther "Nanny" (McKee) Kinnee.

Sue was a 1966 graduate of Superior Senior High School and later graduated from WITC-Superior.

On August 1, 1981, in Duluth, Susan K. Kinnee and Hugh C. McKay were united in marriage.

For over 20 years Sue worked as a medical transcriptionist for Essentia Health-St. Mary's, Duluth, retiring in 2016.

Sue's life was centered around her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Jesus is Life Ministry and enjoyed studying the Bible.

Sue loved her family and "Grammy" especially enjoyed spending time with   granddaughter, Kaylee. Her daughters, Michelle and Christine provided great care for their mother. Michelle was always there to provide strength and guidance in her time of need, and Christine was her traveling companion to various destinations. Her annual trips to Branson with husband, Hugh, were always a calendar priority. Word games, crossword puzzles and various types of memory work, were some of Sue's other interests.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Jerry Kinnee; and niece, Becky Uttley.

Survivors include her husband, Hugh; daughters, Michelle (fiancée, Kyle Thimm) McKay, and Christine McKay; granddaughter, Kaylee Ramel, all of Superior; sister, Lois (Ron) Jacott, Menomonie, WI; sister-in-law, Joan Kinnee, New Jersey; nephews, Dave and Gary Jacott, Dave Uttley and Steve Kinnee; nieces, Amy and Kathy Kinnee; many other nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Central Assembly of God, 3000 Hammond Avenue, Superior. Pastor Dan Stone of Jesus is Life Ministry will officiate.

Committal prayers will be at Calvary Cemetery, Superior.

Pallbearers will be Phil Stariha, John Krisak, Mike Krisak, Kyle Thimm, Dan Stone, and Trent Pank.
