Suzanne M. Salo, 67, of Superior, died peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Superior Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

She was born November 25, 1952, in Superior, daughter of Melvin and Helen (Maki) Swanson.

Suzanne loved music and especially enjoyed attending live concerts.  She also loved to write.  She was an avid antique collector and a great cook.  Her favorite thing to do was just to be outdoors enjoying nice weather.  She was very witty and had a contagious sense of humor.

Preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, Luke Mackie; and brothers, Carey Swanson and Dick Swanson.

Survivors include her daughters, Stacy (Brian) Mackie, Superior, and Rhonda Salo, Green Bay, WI; son, Scott (Joy Daly) Salo, Lake Nebagamon, WI; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Scott Jr., Tyler, Austin and Franki; 6 great-grandchildren, Savannah, Skylar, Cayden, Trey, Ella and Rhoni; sisters, Dorothy (Joseph) Sayers, Duluth, and Gloria Hill, Superior; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. service, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Downs Funeral Home, Superior.

Pallbearers will be Ron Salo, Jack Salo, Brian Mackie, and Joseph Sayers.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Luncheon to follow at The Capri, 1224 Tower Ave., Superior.
