Terrance Pearson, 84, of Superior, died on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, Monday, May 13, 2019 in his home.
Terrance was born in Superior on Feb. 18, 1935 the son of Cameron and Josephine Pearson.
He married Carol Hanson on April 26, 1958 and they raised 16 children and celebrated 58 years of marriage together until her death in 2016.
Terrance was a man of faith and family. He attended daily mass at Cathedral and was an ardent devotee of the Rosary.
He had worked on the Railroad and went on to earn two Masters Degrees. He was a Psychologist in the Lake County School District and had worked in Two Harbors and also in Thief River Falls. He also served as the Director of Special Education. He was very intellectual and enjoyed studying the mind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; brother, Cameron 'Bud'; and sisters, Lucille 'Ceil' Schweppe and JoAnn Kimmes.
Terrance is survived by his children, Mark (Patricia) Pearson of Poplar, Mary Pearson, of Superior, John Pearson of Superior, Joseph Pearson of Superior, Jeffery Pearson of Superior, Therese (Dan) Jerrard of Burnsville, MN, Paul (Jamie) Pearson of Hermantown, Catherine (Chris) Glancy of Minnetonka, Angel Pearson of Minneapolis, James Pearson of Superior, Peggy (Kevin) Anderson of Duluth, Bernadette (Jon) Simonson of Foxboro, Frank (Erika) Pearson of Oulu, Bridgette (Chris) Rue of Texas, Jacinta (Jeff) Herman of Superior, and Michael (Adrienne) Pearson of Duluth; as well as 60 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Thomas Pearson of Superior and John Pearson of Minneapolis.
Visitation will be on Monday May 20 th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church. Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Ricci will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
