Terrence "Terry" Diskin, 83, died in his home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, with his family by his side.
Terry was born June 8, 1941, in Duluth, MN to Marie (Morris) and Lawrence Diskin.
He graduated from Denfeld High School in 1959 where he excelled at playing quarterback for the football team. Terry continued to play football at UWS for a few years.
He married Janet Stoddard in May of 1967 and they were married for 53 years until Jan's death.
Terry was an entrepreneur and was the owner/operator of several businesses over the years, including the Iron Horse Bar in Proctor, the Milk House convenience store in Superior, Beauty Solons, and a car detail business.
He enjoyed playing softball in his younger years, he was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, and hunting upland birds. Terry loved going on trips with his buddies and would always have a transistor radio to listen to the games.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet and his brother, Patrick Diskin.
Terry is survived by his daughters, Lynnette (Steve) Steele, and Johnalynn (Joseph) Dorshefski; his grandchildren, Caitie (Daniel) Duchak and Joseph (Kaitlyn) Dorshefski; his great grandchildren, Dani, Dalton, Joseph, and Delainey; his sister in-law, Alice Diskin, and numerous cousins.
A Private Graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Superior, WI.
