Therys L. Koenen, 68, of 5398 E. Koenen Rd., South Range, Wis. died Fri., October 23, 2009 in her residence.
She was born November 29, 1940 in Fairchild Wis. and was a longtime resident of the South Range area.
She enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved all of her grandchildren.
Therys is survived by her husband, Frank; children, Tammy Louise (Paul) Musser of Waterloo, Wis., Brenda Marie (Brent) Schwartz of Plymouth, Minn., Sandra Jean (Todd) Carlson of Lake Nebagamon, Wis., Timothy John (Michelle) Koenen of South Range and Julie Ann Zakowitz of Superior, Wis.; twelve grandchildren; a sister, Myrna (Fred) Thompson of Duluth, Minn.; and four half-sisters, Cheryl, Kathy, Jayne and Donna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson D. and Vivian Gonia.
Her memorial service will be held on Thurs., October 29th in the Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. & Ogden Ave., at 11:00 a.m with Rev Joel Certa-Werner, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her twelve grandchildren, James and Karen Schwartz, Eric and Kate Musser, Matthew and Jessica Carlson, Nicholas and Chad Zakowitz, Brandon and Samantha Dodge, and Patrick and Nicole Koenen.
