Thom A. Stansky, age 72, of Superior, died Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
Thom was born November 21, 1953, in San Diego, CA, to Doris (Norbert) and Donald Stansky. He was a longtime bartender at the former Brass Rail and Willies in Superior before becoming a second cook on the Great Lakes Fleet. Thom enjoyed building military and car models in his spare time and enjoyed "wind therapy", riding his Harley trike. Thom also loved spending time with his granddaughter and his four-legged friend, Chief. He would marry the former Bambi Johnson on July 11, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Carl Winter and his stepbrother, Ricky Stansky.
Thom is lovingly survived by his wife, Bambi; stepson, Joseph (Megan) Prigge; granddaughter, Grace Prigge; stepdaughters, Lisa (John) Pendergast and Jessica Rinnet; sisters, Debbie (Curt) Marsh and Jenny (Steve) Stansky; stepsisters, Dolly (Craig) Wendland and Randy (Louann) Winter.
A Celebration of Thom's life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Superior Tavern, 1224 Tower Avenue, Superior.
