Thomas Allen Nord, 63, of Superior, Wis. died Mon., April 5, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, Minn.

Thomas was born in Superior Nov. 7, 1946, the son of Georgia (Lane) and Edward Nord.

He was a 26 year employee of the City of Superior retiring at the age of 57.

Thomas was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and also bird and animal watching. Most important to him was his family. He lived for his children and grandchildren and was always there to help anyone, especially his mother.

He was preceded in death by his father and nephew Jeffrey Alberio.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Rosemary Lahti-Nord of Superior; mother, Georgia Nord of Superior; children, Sherry (Richard) Nord of South Range, Christopher Nord of Minneapolis, Joshua Johnson of Eveleth, Minn., Jesse Nord of Superior, Jamey (Jamie Benjamin) of Foxboro and Wendy (CJ Ivers) of Tampa, Fl; brothers and sisters, Edward Nord, Jr. of Superior, Joy (Bill) Smith of Superior, Patricia (Tom) Riel of Richmond, Minn. and Susan (Gary Johnson) Olson of Duluth; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sat. Apr. 10, from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Superior Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. G. Darrell Grant as officiant. Interment will be in Graceland cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
