Thomas W. Sawyer, 86, of Superior, died Friday, January 21, 2022, at his residence.

Thomas was born on March 5, 1935, in Lawler, MN, the son of William and Ruth (Priem) Sawyer. He served his country with the US Marines.

He was a member of the Minnesota Street Rod Association and enjoyed traveling with Claudia to street rod events. He also enjoyed gaming, old movies, and die cast cars.

Tom was a commercial artist working on local advertising and creating ads for grocery stores. Tom also worked as a greeter at Walmart in Duluth for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Claudia in 2011; siblings, Doris Howe, Allen St. Marie, Lorraine Berger, and Shirley Pasco.

Thomas is survived by his children, Kelly (Dave) Impola of Big Lake, MN and Todd (Cindy) Sawyer of North Plains, OR; grandchildren, Alicia (Edward) Infante, Nicholas (Aimee) Sawyer and Sarah Impola; great grandchildren, Ethan and Lola Infante and Jeremy and Owen Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Thomas' Life will be held at a later date.
