Timothy E. Preston, 58, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2015 at his home in the arms of his wife.

Tim was born in Superior on Oct. 25, 1956 the son of Lemuel Preston and Catherine 'Kay' Doyle.

Tim married the former Sandra 'Sandy' Doyle on July 24, 1976 and they recently celebrated 39 years of marriage.

He had worked for BNSF for 39 years as a section worker and was a member of Hope Congregational Church. Tim loved to travel, especially to the ocean, he loved his church and his family. Most of all he loved his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandmother, June Mattison.

Tim is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Tim (Tanya) Preston, Kelli (Jim) Briggs, Brooke (Cory) Pison and Katie Preston; grandchildren, Olivia, Gabrielle, Natalie, and Charlie Shaul, Cameron and Brecken Pison, and Benjamin Preston; sister, Debbie Preston; and brothers, David (Joy) Preston and Dennis Preston.

Visitation will be on Wed. Sept. 9 from 5-7 p.m. and his memorial service will be on Thur. Sept 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Congregational Church, 1827 Wyoming Ave, Superior. Rev. Michael Casperson will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Preston, David Preston, Dennis Preston, Cory Pison, Jim Briggs, Paul Doyle and Doug Cook.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tim's name to Hope Congregational Church.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave., is assisting the family with arrangements.
