Obituary

Troy Allan Kyromaki, 54 of Superior died in his home on Monday, April 11, 2022.  He was born on March 21, 1968, in Duluth, MN to Judith (Van Horn) and Arto Kyromaki.  After graduating high school Troy enlisted in the US Army serving in Iraq during Desert Storm. Troy loved to drive heavy equipment. He worked at Burlington Northern Railroad as a Hostler until his retirement.

Troy loved fixing cars, working with his hands, fishing, driving motorcycles, and mudding with ATVs.  He had an eye for art and was a gifted artist, drawing, painting with watercolors, and creating clay sculptures. Troy had a rich and dry sense of humor. It delighted him to joke and tease all his friends.

Troy struggled for many years with failing health. Gratitude and praise to all those many friends and caregivers who faithfully stood by him and served him with such excellent care and love.

Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Judith.  Survivors include his father, Arto, his sister, Tracy (Greg) Pinther, and his niece, Hannah Pinther.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. in Downs Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 N. 19 th Street.  Military Honors Accorded by the Richard I Bong American Legion Post #435 at 6:30 p.m.  Inurnment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, 4777 Highway #53, Saginaw, MN.
