Obituary

Tyler A. Day, 36, of Superior, died unexpectedly on Thursday July 28, 2022, at his residence.

Tyler was born in Duluth, MN on Dec. 27, 1985, the son of Tracey (Gernay) and Charles Day, Sr. He graduated from Superior High School with the class of 2004.

He had worked for A&W, the Palace Bar, and most recently the Duluth News Tribune.

He loved to play video games, snowmobiling, fishing, and playing sports. He collected baseball and football cards and was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan.

Tyler was a loving and caring man that could make you laugh on any given day.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kyle; maternal grandfather, Ronald Gernay; and paternal grandparents, Bud and Mary Day.

Tyler is survived by his mom and dad, Tracey and Chuck Day Sr.; brother, Charles 'Chuckie' Day Jr.; sister, Brina Day all of Superior; his daughters, Charleigh and Kayleigh; maternal grandmother, Marlene (Kirk Tester) Hageman of Brainerd; nieces and nephews, Kaeden, Kaiser, Knoxx, and Kinlee; aunts and uncles, Tammy, Terri, Tonia, Tim, and Kathy; mother of his children, Brittany Miller; and dear friends, Mary Spieker and Katie Foust; and his beloved dog Pricilla.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 4 th from 10:00 until the 11:00 Celebration of Life service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 th St., with Gary Banker as officiant.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian and Mark Rink, Skyler and Tanner Murray, Bruce Farmer and Matt McCahan.
