Vanessa M. (Mayse) Campbell, 31, of Duluth, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

She was born in Duluth on February 6, 1985, the daughter of Bennie Mayse, Jr. and Tammy Hanson.

Vanessa enjoyed cooking, socializing, and being with family and friends.  She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her children.

She is preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Merle and Frances Hanson; and paternal grandfather, Bennie Sr.

Vanessa is survived by her mother, Tammy (Tim) Tomzak of Superior; daughter, Sierra; 2 sons, Preston, and Gabriel; siblings, Tabatha (Jay) Rol of Zimmerman, MN, Brooks Hanson of Superior, and Ethan Tomzak of Superior; paternal grandparents, Philomena and Wilmar Dock of Superior; nephew, Wyatt Rol; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10 until the Noon funeral service on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Central Assembly of God, 3000 Hammond Avenue, Superior.  Pastor Tom Miller will be officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Dick, Ben Dick, Ian Dick, Dave Hudacek, Nick Hudacek, and Preston Martin.
