Vern V.
Charbonneau
March 29, 1945 – March 30, 2017
Vern V. Charbonneau, 72, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017, at Sylvia's Hospice House in Ocala, Fla. from complications following successful knee replacement surgery at Ocala Regional Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1945, in Superior to Vern H. and Bernice Fliehr Charbonneau. He was a graduate of Cathedral School and the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. He was a Vietnam veteran. His career spanned 36 years in geriatrics as a Nursing Home Administrator both in Wisconsin and Florida. Under his caring leadership, the facilities he managed attained the highest awards for quality care by the state licensure boards. Vern will always be remembered by his friends and family for his kind heartedness, ability to make others laugh and his genuine care and concern for others. He lived each day according to his motto, "every night is New years eve" by which he really meant "life on this is short compared to eternity, so live it to its fullest".
Vern is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lorraine, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
According to Vern's wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. He also wished to share his many blessings with unloved animals with no one to care for them. A personal donation will be made in his honor by his spouse.
