Verna L. O'Connell's Obituary
Verna L. O'Connell, 83, of Superior, went to be in God's arms December 19, 2010 at the Golden Living Center.
Verna was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.
She was born April 28, 1927.
Verna loved to shop, travel and spend time with friends and family. She will be sadly missed by her devoted and loving husband of 45 years, Bernie; her cherished son Gordon Jerome; her loving sister, Bev (Les) Schumacher; and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and step-children.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, at Cathedral of Christ the King Church with Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Ricci as celebrant. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cathedral Church or a charity of your choice.
Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
