Virginia Marie Erickson's Obituary
Virginia Marie Erickson, 62, of Superior, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's, Duluth.
She was born March 21, 1949 in Superior, daughter of Charles and Edna (Smith) Hoffman.
Virginia was a 1967 graduate of Superior Senior High School.
On January 15, 1977, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Superior, Virginia M. Hoffman and Edward R. Erickson were united in marriage.
Virginia worked as a residential counselor for Harborview Group Home for 17 years.
Some of interests included bicycling, walking her dog, window shopping and spending time loving her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Edward "Ray Ray" Erickson; daughter, Linda Erickson, Duluth; grandchildren, Matthew, Christifer, Akasha, Corey and Cole; and sister, Julie Scott, Sedro Woolley, WA.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Thursday, March 22,
2012 at Hope Congregational Church, 1827 Wyoming Avenue, Superior. Pastor Michael Casperson will officiate.
Committal prayers will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
