Virginia L. (LePage) Bachler, 97, of Superior, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, just 6 days shy of her 98 ^th birthday, at Chris Jensen Health and Rehab in Duluth.

Virginia was born in Shell Lake, WI on January 1, 1920, the daughter of Mose and Virginia Thibedeau, Jr.

She attended East High School in Superior. After school, she worked for North Shore Manufacturing and Western Electric in Duluth. She then moved to the Milwaukee - Kenosha area for work and retired from Cherry Electric in Gurnee, IL.

Virginia was a people person who loved to help people and serve them. The coffee pot was always on at her house and you would not go away without being fed. She was a terrific cook and an even better baker. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the Casino. Virginia was an all-around grandma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malcolm Bachler; brothers, Lawrence, Mose, Charlie, Dan, and George; sisters, Helen, Toots, Kay, and Margaret; sons-in-law, Robert W. Johnson and Willard Schadewald; first husband, Marvin LePage; and second husband, Mike Powers.

Virginia is survived by her children, Carole Johnson of Hermantown, Janet Schadewald of Superior, and Rev. Marvin (Rev. Mary) LePage of Duluth; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Eleanor) Thibedeau of Milwaukee; sister, Alice Sauer of Golden Valley, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Pastor Sarah Kerkes of Our Saviors Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
