Vivian E. Cairns-Thill, 84, of Superior, Wis. died Tues., Aug. 4th 2009 at Golden Living Center.
Vivian was born in Webster, Wis. on Dec. 22, 1924, the daughter of Vivian (Reed) and Cecil Webster.
She was a seamstress for North Shore Manufacturing. Vivian was a deacon at United Presbyterian Church and also a foster grandparent.
She enjoyed crocheting doilies and afghans for her children and grandchildren. She liked to travel, especially to Arizona in the winter. She also enjoyed dancing. Most important to her was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Albert A. Cairns; second husband, Leland Thill; two sons, Lawrence Allen and John Glen Cairns; three infant children, Geraldine, Laura Lynn, and Charmane Renee Cairns; six brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Doreen (Barry) Hunter, Sr. of Superior, Phillip (Mary) Cairns of International Falls, Minn., James (Lisa) Cairns of Sebastian Fla., Glenda (Steven) Pede of Superior, Ronald (Mary) Cairns of Highland Township, Wis., Milton (Barbara) Cairns of Superior, and Kenneth Cairns of Mauston, Wis.; twenty-nine grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lester (Dorothy) Webster of Superior.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joel Huenemann officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family would like to recognize and thank Golden Living Center and its very special and wonderful staff for the loving care and kindness given to Vivian during her stay there. Also, the kindness given to the family was tremendous and greatly appreciated.
