Obituary

Walter E. "Bud" Smith, 82, of Superior, died Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Superior.

He was born January 26, 1931 in St. Clair, Missouri, son of Roy and Martha (Rhodes) Smith.

Walter proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Bud worked many years as a boilermaker for Frasier Shipyards.

Some of his interests included restoring old cars and woodworking.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and granddaughter, Meaghan Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita; sons, Roy Orr, Duluth, Raymond Orr, Superior, and Martin (Tina) Smith, Superior; grandsons, Dennis Orr, Christopher (Melissa) Orr, Benjamin Smith, and twins, Caleb and Conner Smith-Gronski; great-grandson, Brandon Orr; brothers, Charles (Ruby) Smith, California, and Richard (Nancy) Smith, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, Superior, with Reverend Mark Holmes and Lay Minister James McCusker officiating.

Following the service, everyone is invited to a luncheon at the church.

Inurnment will take place at a later date.
