Walter E. Ojala, 74, lifelong resident of Superior, WI, saw Jesus on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his home.

He was born on May 27, 1947, the son of Margaret (Sweeney) and Walter H. Ojala.

Walter worked as a longshoreman for ILA Local 1037.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sharon Knafla and Melodee Johnholtz; and brother, James Lancour.

Walter is survived by his daughters, Terrilyn Ojala of Superior, and Jodi Ojala of St. Paul; the joy and love of his life, his grandson, Darcell (Maria) Williams and great granddaughter, Kendall Williams; grandson, Trevor Johnson; brother, Michael Ojala; sisters, Dianne Young and Doreen Prigge; and nephews, Robert, Jeffrey, and Daniel Ojala and Seth Frank, all of Superior.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Superior.
